It is soOo nice to wake up before my alarm clock goes off on a school day. I love the schedule for standardized testing week! Even better is that I don’t have to take the tests this year because I’m a senior! ![]()

I’ve been using Linux for like the past week and a half. It’s been 4 years since I first tried Linux on RedHat 7.3 and Mandrake 8.2. I never really got the hang of it, so I ditched them and went back to Windows exclusively. I decided to give Linux another shot, this time with Ubuntu. I really like it! A lot has changed in 4 years, in a good way. I installed Xgl and it’s awesome! A true competitor to OS X’s Aqua and Vista’s Aero. I’m not ready to give up Windows just yet, so I still have XP dual booted, but I’m spending most of my time in Ubuntu for now.
Also, today I received my free Ubuntu CDs in the mail. It took about a month for them to get here since they shipped from France. I’m not complaining though; they’re free! I got impatient and went ahead and downloaded Ubuntu, as you can see. I have live and install CDs of Ubuntu 5.10 Breezy Badger for PC, PC 64-bit, and Mac. If you know me in person and want to borrow them or want a copy, let me know. As they say, “Share the spirit of Ubuntu!”

Hostel was probably the most disgusting movie I’ve ever seen, but I kind of liked it. Should I be worried?
There’s going to be a sequel, Hostel Deux, which takes place in France. That should be dandy. ![]()

Yesterday was a pretty good day until I got home from school and found out that my dog was missing. Apparently, my dad forgot to close the gate and she got out. Now Rani’s missing and I don’t know where she is. This isn’t the first time this has happened. She got out a few weeks ago, but miraculously I found her because some kind people put up some “found dog” signs. I don’t know what the chances are of that happening again though. She’s not wearing any dog tags because I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep her for much longer. If I ever find her, I’ll probably give her away. Some things have come up and I can’t really keep her anymore. You have to let go of the things you love. Even if I don’t find her, I hope that she’s okay. ![]()
